DRACHENWANDSTEIG - dragon wall

Kurs KST 01

Duration: 1 day Location: Mondsee Participants: 3 - 6

Climb one of Austria's most attractive via ferratas with our mountain guides! This moderately difficult route (60% B, 40% C) is a beautiful and interesting tour. At the summit, you'll be rewarded with a stunning panorama that stretches far beyond the borders of the Mondsee region.
from € 189.00

Program

We meet at the car park in St.Lorenz/Mondsee. The wonderful trail is divided into numerous sections: The introductory section first leads over ladders, then to the right above a notch (up to grade B). This is followed by a climb (B/C) and a walking section. The following section alternates between easier and more difficult sections (up to grade C) before reaching a rock crevice through which you can look down onto Lake Mondsee. Those who climb to the right at the fork reach the rope bridge with a magnificent view. After that, the easier suspension bridge variant turns left and rejoins the normal route, which has its most technically demanding section at the change of sides in the crevice under the suspension bridge, which can certainly be considered a grade C/D. Until the junction with the suspension bridge variant, several, partly exposed, sections of the normal route require a lot of effort, but there are also repeated opportunities to catch your breath. An easier (B) but earthy ridge section marks the start of the finale. Once again, a lot of strength is needed to overcome tricky sections (up to C) before reaching the summit, which offers a great view of Lake Mondsee.

DONNERKOGEL - "Skyladder - Stairway to heaven"!

Kurs KST 03

Duration: 1 day Location: Gosau Participants: 1 - 3

A great classic via ferrata on the west side of the Dachstein - the highlight is a 40-meter giant ladder on which you cross a deep gorge. In four very different stages you climb the Donnerkogel on the Intersport via ferrata. You get an appealing - and if you use the giant ladder, a hugely exposed - via ferrata adventure with a fantastic view of the Dachstein.
ab € 240,00

Program

We meet at the car park of the Gosaukammbahn. We take the cable car to the mountain station and hike comfortably to the start in about 20 minutes. After a beautiful slab crossing, the first key point comes right away, the "Kaiserschneidung" (C/D). We continue with slightly easier climbing up to a saddle (first emergency exit). The second stage brings us a few crossings and short climbs before we climb down briefly and climb a long way to the famous "Giant's Ladder". This 40m ladder is undoubtedly the highlight of the tour; but it can also be bypassed via the original climb (C). There is also an emergency exit to the normal route at this point. Via the Donnermandl (C/D) we continue over the ridge to the summit of the Donnerkogel. The descent takes us back to the cable car in about 1.5 hours.
